UAAP: Jared Brown leaves, Mason Amos hints at Ateneo return
MANILA, Philippines—Ateneo continued to lose more of its key cogs heading into next year’s UAAP Season 87 men’s basketball tournament.
As if the departure of Kai Ballungay wasn’t enough, the Blue Eagles also lost the services of shifty guard Jared Brown.

“For my future, I will be transitioning and preparing to becoming a professional, which has been a long life goal of mine. I would not have been able to be in this situation without the support of my family, coaches, teammates, and management,” wrote the Filipino-American Brown.
“I know my time as a Blue Eagle has been short but within this year I can genuinely say I have been a part of a family and a brotherhood that I will cherish forever.”

And Brown made sure to extend his gratitude to Ateneo on his way out.
“I am extremely blessed and honored to have put on an Ateneo jersey because of the rich and legendary tradition this University has. The love of everyone has been amazing and with that I am forever grateful.”
But while Brown became the latest to exit the Blue Eagles, rising big man Mason Amos hinted at returning for Season 87.
“Can’t wait to run it back,” wrote Amos in a tweet on Friday.
