MANILA—Jette Calderon of Jet Racing captured the ROK Junior crown recently in the third leg of the 2011 Petron Karting Super Series at the Boomland Kart Track of the CCP Complex.
The Cebuano ace finished fourth overall behind the senior karters in the combined ROK race of this event sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP).
He finished five seconds ahead of teammate Franco Reyes with a time of 13 minutes and 42.214 seconds.
With the win, Calderon wrested solo leadership in the series, hiking his total to 201 points, a point ahead of RR Suba, who tallied 200 points.
Chan, on the other hand, vented his ire in the ROK Novice class, where he scored his first major victory this season.
Basti Escalante of Tuason Racing also bagged his second straight win in the Formula SL Novice class.
