SSC-Excelroof plasters Ateneo tossers for lead
SAN SEBASTIAN-Excelroof flaun-ted its deep offensive arsenal to overwhelm Ateneo, 25-22, 25-17, 26-24, Thursday night to seize the solo lead in the Shakey’s V-League Season 7 second conference at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Thai reinforcement Jeng Bualee won her head-to-head duel with compatriot and Ateneo import Surasawadee Boonyuen by scoring 20 points as the Lady Stags registered their third win in as many games.
The Lady Stags looked like they were in a hurry to dispose of the Lady Eagles as Bualee and Suzanne Roces imposed their will at the net in the first two sets.

“As much as possible we want to win in three sets so we won’t have any worries,” said SSC mentor Roger Gorayeb, whose squad took the win in just 68 minutes.
Mirasol, who finished with 11 points, and Robinos accounted for five of the Lady Stags’ 10 blocks.
