MANILA, Philippines–Uratex Dream took care of business to close in on a sweep of the elimination round of the PBA 3×3 women’s Invitational last Monday.

Sustaining their strong showing from opening week, the Dream fended off Gilas Pilipinas A, 21-19, and Gilas Pilipinas B, 20-16, to go 4-0.

Uratex opened the tournament with victories over Angelis Resort (20-15) and Philippine Air Force (19-16) the week before.

The pacesetters try to head into the next round with an unbeaten slate if they pick up win No. 5 versus Philippine Navy-Go For Gold on the last day of eliminations next Monday.

The Lady Sailors likewise hurdled their two assignments of the day–a 19-16 win over Angelis Resort, and 21-13 triumph over PAF–to hike their record to 3-0.

Meanwhile, Gilas A broke into the win column after a 0-3 start after drubbing Air Force, 16-8.

The top four teams at the end of the elimination round advance to the crossover semifinals.
