MANILA, Philippines—PLDT will be competing in the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference without the services of Mika Reyes.
PLDT coach Rald Ricafort revealed that Reyes will be out for the conference due to a shoulder injury.
“Mika’s currently in rehab. For this conference? No, she won’t be able to play. She underwent an operation,” bared the tactician.
Reyes has been dealing with the injury since last year.
Minus Reyes, PLDT is expected to lean on the newly acquired Majoy Baron from disbanded F2 Logistics to fill in the void left by Reyes.
“It’s still good because Majoy is the one who will replace her so somehow, if it’s not better, we’re still okay,” admitted Ricafort.
Aside from Baron, the High Speed Hitters also added former Cargo Movers Kim Kianna Dy and Kim Fajardo in the offseason
PLDT missed out on a semifinal spot last conference just behind the Chery Tiggo Crossovers with a 7-4 card.
