MANILA, Philippines—Magnolia may not be dealing with import problems anytime soon.

After the Hotshots’ tragic Game 6 loss to San Miguel Beer in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals, Tyler Bey made it a point that should he be given another opportunity, he would don the Blue and White jersey again.

“No doubt, I would love to come back,” the import said. “I just hope we can run it back and go from there.”

In Magnolia’s conference-ending loss to eventual champions Beermen, Bey did not disappoint with 18 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.

Seeing Bey drop consistent numbers like he did on Wednesday isn’t exactly a new sight for Magnolia fans and coach Chito Victolero as the former NBA draft selection averaged 26.2 points and 13.3 boards per game in the conference.

While the decision to have him wear the Hotshots’ jersey anew is up to management, Bey made sure to emphasize he would have no hesitation to come back should Magnolia ring his phone for the next import-laden conference.

This, is after realizing that he got a “family” in the top-seeded team.

“I love the Philippines, I love Magnolia… We didn’t get the result that we wanted, but I just felt like we have a group of guys that I could call family.”

There will be no action for Bey in the coming months when it comes to the PBA as the next conference of the league will be for the All-Filipino Cup starting at the tail-end of the month.
