PBA: Mark Barroca, Japeth Aguilar spearhead All-Star game
MANILA, Philippines—The PBA has revealed the cast for next month’s All-Star festivities in Bacolod City.
It will be Team Mark Barroca against Team Japeth Aguilar in Bacolod for the All-Star Game with Barroca being the top vote-getter and Aguilar coming in second.

The Top 10 players all came from the San Miguel Corporation group teams with Aguilar’s teammate Scottie Thompson, league-leading MVP candidate June Mar Fajardo and Calvin Abueva rounding out the top five of vote getters.
Christian Standhardinger, Jamie Malonzo, Paul Lee, CJ Perez and Maverick Ahanmisi held the votes that garnered the sixth to tenth spot.
Article continues after this advertisementThe majority of the remaining vote-getters also came from the SMC and MVP teams in Calvin Oftana, Stanley Pringle, Chris Newsome, Terrence Romeo, Jayson Castro, Jio Jalalon, Marcio Lassiter and Ian Sangalang.

Independent team skippers Arvin Tolentino of Northport and Robert Bolick of NLEX are the 15th and 20th top vote-getters, respectively.
Completing the All-Star game cast are Nards Pinto, Ricci Rivero, Juami Tiongson, Gabe Norwood, James Yap, Jason Perkins, Tyler Tio, Don Trollano and Cliff Hodge.
Gin Kings and Gilas coach Tim Cone has also been announced as one of the tacticians for the Bacolod match with the other being Commissioner’s Cup champion coach Jorge Gallent of San Miguel.

As for the Rookies-Sophomores-Juniors game, Keith Zaldivar held the top spot with Jeric Ahanmisi coming in second.
Andrei Caracut of Rain or Shine, reigning Rookie of the Year Justin Arana and San Miguel rookie Kyt Jimenez composed the top five for the game that will showcase the talents of newcomers in an exhibition game.
Shaun Ildefonso, Keith Datu, James Laput, Gian Mamuyac and Javi Gomez de Liaño closed out the top ten selection.
Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, John Amores, Leonard Santillan, Fran Yu, Stephen Holt, Anton Asistio, Raph Cu, Adrian Nocum, RK Ilagan and Kim Aurin will also be part of the RSJ game.
Joshua Munzon, Ken Tuffin, Alec Stockton and JM Calma will also be part of the game by way of coaches and media votes.
