Marcos: Ensure PH’s compliance to World Anti-Doping Code

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered relevant government agencies to make sure that the Philippines adhered to the World Anti-Doping Code (WADC), said the Palace on Friday.

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered relevant government agencies to make sure that the Philippines adhered to the World Anti-Doping Code (WADC), said the Palace on Friday.

Marcos made this directive as he met with officials from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) in Malacañan Palace.

The WADC is a set of international anti-doping rules and regulations among sports organizations.

“Inatasan ni PBBM (President Bongbong Marcos) ang mga kaugnay na ahensya na aralin ang pagpapalakas ng Philippine National Anti-Doping Organization (PHI-NADO) alinsunod sa mga probisyon ng WADC,” said the Presidential Communications Office in a statement.

(President Marcos has ordered relevant agencies to study how to strengthen the Philippine National Anti-Doping Organization according to the rules of the WADC.)

According to its website, the PHI-NADO is the country’s anti-doping organization under the World Anti-Doping Agency.
