PVL: Another chance for Chery Tiggo to solve ‘good’ predicament
Kung Fu Reyes is faced with a problem most coaches want, and with a rather light assignment up in their Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference schedule, the outspoken coach will have the chance to see who deserves playing time the most.
“It’s a good problem,” Reyes said when reminded of the many outside hitters he has in his Chery Tiggo team that will be shooting for a second straight win on Saturday when it battles another newcomer in Strong Group at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
PVL: Mars Alba determined to contribute more for Choco Mucho
MANILA, Philippines — Mars Alba is honored to be donning her favorite color as she shone brightly in her first game as Choco Mucho Flying Titan.
Alba started in her first game for Choco Mucho and provided 18 excellent sets on top of two points in their 25-12, 25-22, 25-18 victory over Nxled in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Thursday at FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
PVL: Eager to help, Ivy Lacsina debuts for Nxled ahead of schedule
MANILA, Philippines — Although she was expecting to be sidelined until March due to a right knee sprain, Ivy Lacsina made a surprise debut in the Nxled Chameleons’ first 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference game.
Lacsina came off the bench in the second set and delivered points but Choco Mucho proved too strong as her debut for Nxled was spoiled with a 12-25, 22-25, 18-25 loss on Thursday at FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
