MANILA, Philippines —She is known for her bold hair colors–rocking pink then blue at one point last year– but PVL star Tots Carlos actually prefers the opposite when it comes to her outfits.
As regularly documented on her Instagram posts, Carlos typically goes for muted colors to complete the simple fits she wears outside her bright pink Creamline uniform.
“Actually, I can say na I’m a t-shirt person lagi lang ako. Relax lang, chill lang, but I always try to be presentable,” Carlos told Inquirer Sports.

“I prefer dark colors [top]. I really just wear black kasi ang dali ng black and then dark colors [sa shirt] black, gray, and dark green.”
In a recent Instagram Reel, the three-time PVL MVP showed her followers her usual routine as she get dressed at home during game days.
“on game days i just usually go for chill relax shirt and shorts fit, i just usually wear my yeezy slides for footwear but if i want to wear shoes i go for any dadshoes 😁 thanks for watching,” said Carlos.
But while her first outfit in mind are the typical tee and shorts combination, Carlos is not afraid to accessorize–just peep at the multiple rings on her fingers.
“Pinapawisan kasi ako lagi so as much as na pwede ako magshorts at pwede ako magtshirt. Tinatry ko lang bagayan with accessories mahilig ako magshades and shoes,” she said.
The former University of the Philippines star is not afraid to admit that she turns to Pinterest to get outfit ideas.
“Nakikita ko lang sa pinterest kung ano lang feel ko. Sometimes, I also wear polos depende sa gagawin,” Carlos said.
Carlos, though, can also pull off dapper looks in formal events. The 2023 Philippine Sportswriters Association Miss Volleyball award stunned in her light pink suit and trousers last January at Diamond Hotel, making her one of the best-dressed athletes of the night.

Carlos had a hot start in the 2024 All-Filipino Conference, leading all scorers with a total of 50 points capped by her new pro career-high 31 points in Creamline’s four-set win over Akari last Thursday.
Asked if she can also call herself a Fits MVP, Carlos leaves it to her followers: “Kayo na magjudge,” she said with laughter.
