UAAP: La Salle wary of rising NU heading into showdown
MANILA, Philippines — Angel Canino and Alleiah Malaluan are ready to take the lead for La Salle sans their championship core members in their upcoming finals rematch against National University on Saturday in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Their rivalry game will feature the collision of their retooled rosters with the Lady Spikers playing without graduates Jolina Dela Cruz and Finals MVP Mars Alba as well as Fifi Sharma and Justine Jazareno, who jumped to the PVL with Akari.

MANILA, Philippines–Defending champion La Salle continued its winning ways after steamrolling University of the Philippines, 25-15, 25-17, 25-18, in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament on Sunday at Mall of Asia Arena.
Angel Canino and libero Lyka de Leon joined hands in dominating the Fighting Maroons for the Lady Spikers’ fifth win in six games as the sophomore hitter hammered down 16 points built around 13 attacks, two blocks and an ace.

MANILA, Philippines — Abe Pono has been proving her worth as a solid backup setter for National University after a solid week in the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament.
The rookie playmaker provided quality minutes anew to help the Lady Bulldogs win their fifth straight game, sweeping the University of the East Lady Warriors, 25-13, 25-19, 25-16, on Sunday at Mall of Asia Arena.
