MANILA, Philippines — Jack Animam is taking her act to Australia as she signed with the Ringwood Hawks in the National Basketball League 1 women’s division.
Philtimes — an Australian news outlet — reported on Maundy Thursday (Manila time) that Animam is playing for the Melbourne, Victoria-based team.
The Gilas Pilipinas Women star is set to debut with the Hawks on April 3 against the Norwood Secondary College.

“We’re incredibly fortunate to bring Jack to Ringwood, we have been following her journey for a while now and we are really excited to finally have her here.” Ringwood coach Jeremy O’Toole told Philtimes.
The 25-year-old center became the second Filipino basketball player to play Down Under after Kai Sotto played two seasons in the NBL with the Adelaide 36ers.

Animam is making her fourth overseas stint after playing in Serbia, France, and China, where she signed with Wuhan Shengfan last year.
The National University product played 35 games for Wuhan in the China-WCBA, averaging 11.4 points, 12 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 2.1 steals.
The 6-foot-5 Filipino returned to action last year coming off an ACL injury and was part of Gilas Women’s silver medal finish in the Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia.
