B.League: Thirdy Ravena lifts San-En for team’s 40th win

MANILA, Philippines—Thirdy Ravena did a little bit of everything in San-En Neophoenix’s win over Osaka Evessa, 101-81, in the Japan B.League at Toyohashi City Gymnasium on Sunday.

Ravena scored 18 points on a blistering 72.7 percent shooting clip (8-of-11) with six rebounds, four assists and a block to match as San-En improved to 40-10 in the 2024 season.

Coty Clarke and David Dudzinski also helped the cause with 28 and 12 points, respectively.

Kai Sotto, meanwhile, failed to lift the Yokohama B-Corsairs in their heartbreaking loss at the hands of the Ibaraki Robots.

Sotto was limited to only 14 minutes of action but still produced 10 points and a rebound but it was all for naught.

The Robots turned to Luke Maye, who dropped 27 points and 15 rebounds, to send Yokohama crashing to a 22-28 card.

Dwight Ramos also landed on the losing end of Sunday’s game day as the Levanga Hokkaido fell to Nagasaki Velca, 86-65, at Hokkai Kita-Yale.

In close to 30 minutes of action, Ramos scattered nine points, six assists, four steals and two rebounds but Levanga still dropped to 14-36 in the Eastern division ladder.

Bobby Ray Parks Jr., however, had a better outing as the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins subdued the Saga Ballooners, 88-79, at Dolphins Arena.

Parks registered 10 points, three rebounds, three steals and two steals to muscle Nagoya to a 33-17 record.

Roosevelt Adams was also victorious on Sunday as the Yamagata Wyverns outlasted the Niigata Albirex BB, 84-59, at Yamagata Prefectural Sports Park.

Adams finished just two points shy of a double-double with eight points and 11 rebounds despite shooting an abysmal 37.5 percent shooting clip, missing five of his eight shots from the floor.

Matthew Wright, however, fell short as the Kyoto Hannaryz succumbed to the Sunrockers Shibuya, 88-81, at Aoyama Gakuin Memorial Hall.
