MANILA, Philippines—San Miguel guard Jericho Cruz and his wife Mossah have been providing some laughs online with their couple videos and online banters.

Cruz said the trending videos with his wife are just a snapshot of his family life.

“It’s just a sign of respect and how much I love my wife. That’s how it is for me and like I say, I’m a loving man, I’m a loving dad to my kids and I love my family,” Cruz told Inquirer Sports the Beermen’s close win over Terrafirma, 113-110 at Ninoy Aquino Stadium on Wednesday.

“When I don’t play basketball, I’m with my family. They’re my priority and they give me energy. I barely go out. Most of the time when I go on vacation, they’re with me. Even if I have games in Guam, they’re there.”

While Mossah and Jericho document most of their family adventures with their two kids, they also post videos of some of their pranks and couples challenges like the series of the “husband vs wife mobility test.”

Cruz said he gets teased in the comments about his wife, but he’s not afraid to admit that Mossah is indeed the boss of him.

“When my wife pranks me, fans online say, ‘ang angas-angas sa court, pagdating sa bahay tiklop sa asawa,’” Jericho said. “Well, totoo naman eh. Kahit sino naman siguro, ‘di ba?’”

(When my wife pranks me, fans online say ‘you’re really aggressive on the court but when it comes to your wife, you fold. Well, it’s true. I guess that goes for everyone else, right?)

Most recently, Mossah and Jericho made fans laugh on Instagram with a video of the former pranking the latter on April Fool’s Day.

Jericho said that the playful jokes are part of their bonding as a family and husband and wife when he’s not under service for coach Jorge Gallent in the PBA Philippine Cup.

“After practice, I’m just at home, chilling with my wife and kids. I’m really more of a family guy. Every time we have days off, I try to spend the most time with my kids and wife because they’re growing older and I want to see them grow so I’m just trying to be a family man,” Cruz said.

It seems like his wife and family are serving as perfect fuel for Jericho as he’s currently averaging 14.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists in the all-Filipino conference.

He scored nine points with four assists, two steals and two rebounds to match in the Beermen’s dub over Dyip to keep San Miguel’s record unblemished after five games.
