Iggy Clavecilla fired a two-under 70 to capture the overall gross crown while Rolly Viray took the overall net title with a 68 in the first Canlubang Senior Golfers Association tournament at Cangolf’s north course last Wednesday.
Mari Hechanova carded a 74 for net 70 and nipped Randy Aquillo, who also had a net 70 from a gross 78, in the countback to bag the Class A honors in the 18-hole tournament hosted by Cangolf.
Richard Hong made a 91 for a net 72 and edged Tom Trinidad, who also had a 72 from a gross 94, in the countback for the Class B crown while Buddy Pontejos topped Class C with a 101 for a net 72, beating Masahiro Okiyama, who had a 74 from a gross 99, for the Class C plum.
Ikuko Kito took the ladies title with a gross 90 for a net 72 with Harumi Ieda settling for runner-up honors with a net 73 from a gross 96.
Meanwhile, Toshi Seki won the most accurate drive honors on No. 13, while Kito and Viray took the longest drive (No. 13) and nearest to the pin (No. 4) awards.
