MANILA, Philippines —A courtesy call with President Benigno Aquino III Thursday afternoon is part of Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra’s busy week in his visit to the Philippines.
Spoelstra, whose mother hails from San Pablo, Laguna, will meet up with Aquino in Malacañang following the “welcome-back” press conference at the Marriott Hotel Manila.
The NBA champion coach is on his fourth visit to the country and will roam around Manila along with the Larry O’ Brien trophy as a part of the NBA Trophy Tour presented by Gatorade.
