MANILA, Philippines—Lyceum made it three straight wins in the NCAA Season 99 women’s volleyball tournament after dispatching Arellano, 25-15, 22-25, 25-11, 27-25, at San Juan Arena on Tuesday.

The victory sent the Lady Pirates into a tie with reigning champion College of St. Benilde on top of the standings.

Johna Denise Dolorito starred for Lyceum with 20 big points while Joan Doguna and Janeth Tulang helped the cause with 16 and 14 points, respectively.

FEATURED STORIES

The duo of Pauline De Guzman and Marianne Padillon dropped 12 points each but to no avail for the Lady Chiefs.

Meanwhile, Letran kept its momentum in the early season with a 25-22, 25-21, 23-25, 25-15 win over Emilio Aguinaldo College.

Nizelle Martin spearheaded the Lady Knights to victory with 16 points. The troika of Gia Maquilang, Marie Nitura and Angelique Ledesma also dropped 12, 11 and 10 points in the victory.

Cathrine Almazan exploded for the Lady Generals with a game-high 22 points but it was all for naught.
