MANILA, Philippines — Missing Tots Carlos was not an excuse for Creamline’s tough five-set meltdown to Choco Mucho, with team captain Alyssa Valdez saying they prepared for the situation before the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference semifinal round.

MANILA, Philippines — Sisi Rondina said she drew inspiration from her volleyball idol Gabi Guimarães to lift Choco Mucho from two sets down and finally deliver their first win over Creamline in the PVL after five years.

Rondina rose from a slow start, dropping 23 points and 14 excellent receptions to stun defending champion Creamline in a five-set thriller,  13-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-20, 18-16, to kick off their semifinal campaign in the 2024 All-FIlipino Conference on Tuesday evening in front of 6,407 fans at Philsports Arena. MANILA, Philippines — After 13 tries, Maddie Madayag and the Choco Mucho Flying Titans found the perfect time to beat the Creamline Cool Smashers in the 2024 PVL All-FIlipino Conference semifinals.

Despite getting dominated in the first two sets, the Flying Titans applied the right adjustments to earn their first win against their sister team since joining the league five years ago, 13-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-20, 18-16, Tuesday evening in front of 6,407 fans at Philsports Arena.

It was worth the wait and effort for Madayag, who provided seven of the team’s 15 blocks to spark their comeback to win their first semis round-robin game. FULL STORY

MANILA, Philippines–Choco Mucho opened its PVL All-Filipino Conference with its first-ever victory against sister team Creamline, a come-from-behind 13-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-20, 18-16 win on Tuesday at PhilSports Arena.

Sisi Rondina led the Flying Titans with 23 points from 21 attacks, a block and an ace while also catching 14 excellent receptions. Royse Tubino continued stepping up for the recuperating Kat Tolentino with 20 points, 18 coming from attacks, and had 12 excellent digs.

“All credits talaga sa teammates ko na pinagtrabahuhan namin na maipanalo namin yung game ngayon,” Rondina said shortly after the triumph in front of 6,407 energetic fans. “Finally, nakaisa din sa Creamline.” FULL STORY

MANILA, Philippines — Tots Carlos will miss Creamline’s semifinal round opener against Choco Mucho in the PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday.

Carlos and Chery Tiggo star Mylene Paat, who will also skip the Crossovers’ semis game against Petro Gazz, attended the 2024 Korean V-League Women’s Asian Quota Draft tryouts, which began with the pre-draft proceedings on Monday.

The two are among the 36 Asian aspirants, trying out until Wednesday as both will miss the semis opener for their respective teams. FULL STORY

MJ Phillips made her much-awaited return to local club Petro Gazz just in time and helped the Angels end the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference preliminary round at the top.

Phillips spent the last year playing in the Korean V-League with Gwangju AI Peppers, who had a lackluster season to finish at the bottom, contrary to the PVL campaign that the Angels are having. FULL STORY
