MANILA, Philippines–Like any other racer chasing lofty dreams, rising Filipino-American karter Arion Crosby has aspirations of becoming a Formula One driver.
But unlike many, Crosby appears to be on the right track with a growing list of accolades in his kart racing career.
One of his accomplishments is being named 2023 International Junior Karter of the Year.
“Being named the 2023 International Junior Karter of the Year is truly humbling. I am incredibly thankful for the unwavering support of my family, my team, sponsors, and fans who have been with me every step of the way,” said the 14-year-old Crosby, who competes under the Resultado Racing Team banner.
“This award is a testament to their belief in me and our collective efforts to succeed in this sport.”
Crosby, a Grade 8 student at Brent International School in Manila, also secured back-to-back first-place finishes at the Rotax Max Challenge Philippine Series (Round 1 & 2) at Carmona Racing Circuit in Cavite.
“I am proud to have Arion as part of our team. Winning this next race is not a long shot. Arion is very focused and disciplined,” said Resultado Racing Team principal and owner Theo Zaragoza.
