MANILA, Philippines—Creamline is looking at the bigger picture.
Cool Smashers coach Sherwin Meneses is laser-focused on defending the PVL All-Filipino Conference crown, and he doesn’t mind who his team will have to run over to do just that.

“Whoever we’ll be facing, we’ll be ready. Our training’s situational so we’ll see first and study who we’ll be facing but whoever it’ll be, it’s fine by us,” said Meneses in Filipino after their sweep of Chery Tiggo at Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.
“We’re happy that we got to the Finals again but the job’s not done. The target is to defend the crown. We’ll prepare. We’re happy that we’re back in the Finals.”
Meneses steered Creamline to a 25-16, 25-21, 25-20 victory over the Crossovers which left no room for any point-quotient system to determine whether they’d be needing another match to get to the Finals.

Later on, Choco Mucho ousted Petro Gazz to set up a Finals rematch against its formidable sister team.
But Meneses isn’t thinking of that. The same goes with Jema Galanza, who finished the match with six points.
“We can’t relax. We have to keep our focus at a hundred percent because for sure, whoever’s facing us will want to beat us and would want the championship,” said Galanza in Filipino.
