MANILA, Philippines — National University and University of Santo Tomas dispute the UAAP Season 86 volleyball crowns both in the men’s and women’s divisions as the Finals begin on May 11.
The UAAP will feature the same pairings in both finals for the first time in the Final Four era.
The NU Lady Bulldogs and UST Tigresses clash in a best-of-three championship series for the first time in UAAP women’s volleyball.

Meanwhile, the ‘four-peat’-seeking NU Bulldogs and UST Golden Spikers, the first-ever No.4 seed to reach the finals in men’s volleyball, collide in the UAAP men’s finals for the second straight season.
Game 1 is on Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum while Games 2 and 3–if necessary–are at Mall of Asia Arena.

Men’s Finals games are scheduled for 1 pm across three games while the women’s finals games begin at 4pm. The UAAP Season 86 individual awarding will be held before the second game of the series at 1 p.m.

UAAP volleyball Finals key points
NU, led by the trio of Bella Belen, Alyssa Solomon, and Vange Alinsug, islooking to complete its title redemption tour in its third straight finals appearance.
UST, which is returning to the Finals after five years, is eyeing to bring back the crown to Espana for the first time since Season 72 in 2010 with Angge Poyos, Cassie Carballo, and Detdet Pepito hoping to finish their unexpected run with a title series win.
Meanwhile, Graduating setter Owa Retamar and the Bulldogs battle reigning MVP Josh Ybañez and the Golden Spikers in another titular series.
