NLEX’s Robert Bolick maintained his lead in the race for the Best Player of the Conference through the end of the PBA Philippine Cup elimination round.

Tabulations provided by the league Friday showed the Road Warriors star posting 44.5 Statistical Points after averaging 27.4 points and 7.0 assists, tops in both categories, with 5.6 rebounds in 10 games.

His hold of the top spot came despite NLEX going on a tailspin with four straight defeats late in the elimination and missing one game due to his wife giving birth to their first child.

But the margin has also dwindled with Terrafirma rookie Stephen Holt and San Miguel Beer’s June Mar Fajardo, winner of the award a record nine times, behind Bolick in the derby.

Holt has 41.5 SPs for second place after helping the Dyip end a 16-conference playoff drought with Fajardo in third with 41.0 SPs.

Barangay Ginebra’s Christian Standhardinger is fourth with 38.9 SPs followed by San Miguel’s CJ Perez (38.7), NorthPort’s Arvin Tolentino (36.4), TNT’s Calvin Oftana (35.5), Rain or Shine’s Santi Santillan (34.8) and Beau Belga (33.7) and Magnolia’s Ian Sangalang (32.6).

Statistics carry 45 percent of the criteria with the rest coming from votes from the media (30%) and players (25%).
