MANILA, Philippines—Bea De Leon put the exclamation point in Creamline’s latest title win at the expense of Choco Mucho in Game 2 of the PVL All-Filipino Conference Finals on Sunday.
De Leon delivered the championship-clinching point against her former team as the Cool Smashers claimed the fourth consecutive All-Filipino crown.
The 27-year-old De Leon, however, refused to put some weight on the final play that capped her first campaign for Creamline after parting ways with Choco Mucho last January.

“That’s really just a bonus,” said De Leon after helping the Cool Smashers outlast the Flying Titans, 20-25, 25-20, 22-25, 25-22, 15-11.
“It’s just a bonus that that’s how we got to the championship point. We got there because of the whole team. It’s just a bonus because I was actually so nervous the whole time. Coach saw that.”
De Leon overcame some anxious moments after her tip sealed the victory for Creamline, which rallied from a 2-1 set deficit.

“Maybe that’s really how it is. It’s really God’s will. He really gave it to us. [The finish] is just a bonus. It’s just a highlight in this championship.”
De Leon, who was part of the Choco Mucho squad that got swept by Creamline in last year’s All-Filipino, finished with seven points.
