B.League: Dwight Ramos signs contract extension with Levanga

MANILA, Philippines—Dwight Ramos isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

On Tuesday, Japanese B.League team Levanga Hokkaido announced that they have signed the Filipino import to a contract extension.

Levanga is bringing back Ramos for his third year with Hokkaido and his fourth overall in the B.League after starting his B.League career with the Toyama Grouses.

“I’m looking forward to coming back to Hokkaido, which will be my third season! I want to make next season the best season among them and I’m looking forward to starting preparations for my teammates and coaches,” said Ramos.

“I’m grateful to all the fans who are always supporting me and thanks to you, I can’t wait to come back again!”

Last year, Ramos found his footing in Hokkaido, having one of his best seasons in his young Japanese basketball career.

Playing almost 26 minutes per game in the 2023-24 season, Ramos was the fifth-leading scorer for Levanga averaging 10.7 points a night.

The 25-year-old Ramos also averaged 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals per outing.

Ramos’ performance for Hokkaido helped Levanga finish with a 17-43 record in B1’s East District division.
