MANILA, Philippines — The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) has extended the application deadline for aspirants of its inaugural rookie draft.

In a press release on Wednesday, the PVL moved its deadline to June 12 from its initial cutoff of May 31.

This decision comes in response to the overwhelming number of applicants requesting additional time to secure the necessary supporting documents, including a PSA-issued birth certificate and letters of recommendation.

“Since this is the first-ever draft event for the PVL, many applicants have requested more time to compile their necessary documents,” said PVL commissioner Sherwin Malonzo.

“We want to ensure that all aspiring players have the opportunity to participate in this historic event, and extending the deadline will help achieve that.”

Prospective draftees are required to submit a 1×1 picture, a Philippine Statistics Authority-issued birth certificate, a Passport, an Endorsement letter, and a Medical certificate.
