Huey, partner gain Citi Open finals

TREAT Huey and Briton Dominic Inglot unleashed the full force of their tested partnership in downing Drew Courtney and Steve Johnson, 6-4, 6-4, Saturday to barge into the final of the men’s doubles of the Citi Open tennis championships in Washington DC.

The 27-year-old Huey and his 26-year-old partner from London have won titles together in the past but are looking for their first this year in this tournament featuring the top 500 players in the world and staking $74,620 to the doubles champions.

For making the finals of an ATP World Tour event, Huey and Inglot were afforded treatment given to champions like holding an autograph signing booth.

They will meet South Africa’s Kevin Anderson and American Sam Querrey for the title. Marc Anthony Reyes
