That’s exactly how Cansino felt upon being called by the Bolts.

“When I was looking at the PBA teams, I thought that Meralco was one of the teams that I could help,” said Cansino, the University of the Philippines product, in Filipino at Glorietta Activity Center on Sunday.

“My game, it’s more on their (Meralco) system and I can adapt with that. Whatever I can give, I’ll give it to Meralco.”

However, style of play isn’t the only thing Cansino and Meralco have in common.

Just recently, the Bolts made history by winning their first-ever Philippine Cup championship.

Cansinom meanwhile, is also a champion in his own right having won a UAAP title with the UP Fighting Maroons in 2002.

“I’m so happy to be here because they were champions last season. Hopefully, I feel that again too. We’ll work for it.”

“[I’m] very happy because I just think I can help Meralco and I hope my championship experience can help them.”
