PBA: Ginebra trades rookie draft picks to Terrafirma
MANILA, Philippines—Ginebra traded away its PBA Rookie draft selections Didat Hanapi and Paolo Hernandez to Terrafirma for a future second-round draft pick from Dyip.
The PBA approved the trade on Tuesday.
Article continues after this advertisementThe trade came just a week after another Ginebra-Terrafirma trade that brought Christian Standhardinger and Stanley Pringle to the Dyip for Stephen Holt and Isaac Go in a Gin Kings’ move to get “younger.”

Also included in that trade was Terrafirma’s third overall pick which turned out to be RJ Abarrientos.
Article continues after this advertisementHernandez and Hanapi were both instrumental cogs for Mapua and Adamson last year, respectively.
The rookie-guard tandem will be joining Dyip’s ensemble of rookies from this year’s draft in Mark Nonoy, CJ Catapusan and Peter Alfaro.

As of writing, the Gin Kings only have two rookies en route to the next PBA season with Abarrientos and Paul Garcia from Ateneo.
Ginebra has been making moves since the conclusion of the Rookie Draft as they also shipped Sidney Onwubere to Northport for big man Ben Adamos.
