Dela Cruz, Canare stun foes

ARLAN dela Cruz of JVT Racing and Rizaldy Canare stole the limelight from the favorites in the fourth leg of the 2012 Philippine Scooter Racing Championships and the 2012 Philippine Underbone King Championships recently at Clark International Speedway.
Dela Cruz pulled off a photo finish triumph against JVT Racing teammate Miko Erich Montano in the Philippine Scooter Racing Championships while Canare bounced back in the last two laps to rule the Philippine Underbone King Championships sanctioned by the Underbone and Scooters Racing Association  and supported by FDR as official tires.

LGBA stag series Aug. 17

THE “LUZON Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) 5-Stag Derby” series starts Aug. 17 at Pasay City Cockpit.
To accommodate all 202 members, the LGBA executive committee has lined up three days of battle for the first leg (Aug. 17, 24 and Sept. 3). About 60 participants will test their battlestags on Friday, assuring of more than 150 fights, said LGBA president Boyet Plaza.
Other schedules: Sept. 14 and 17 (second  leg);  Sept. 24 (third leg) and Oct. 1 (fourth leg). Entry fee is P11,000.

Derby screening at LPC today

SCREENING of stags, eight to ten months old, will be held today  at Las Piñas Coliseum in connection with the “Las Piñas Anniversary 6-Stag Derby” on Aug. 21, 23 and 25.
Stags banded by breeders groups affiliated with the  National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders are also allowed.
The LPC management staked a guaranteed prize of P1 million for an entry fee of P15,000. The 2-stag elims will be held Aug. 21 and 23.
