Baseball PH 8 sked reset for today

Organizers of Baseball Philippines Series 8 reset yesterday’s games for today due to inclement weather at the Clark Field parade grounds in Pampanga.

Manila and Alabang will resume their game also postponed by rains at 9 a.m. with Cebu taking on Dumaguete at 1 p.m.

Three-peat seeking Manila (8-1) and Cebu (7-2) are heavily favored to prevail and clinch the twice-to-beat bonus as the top two semifinalists.

The Sharks, champions in the last two series, led 8-4 against the Tigers in the fifth inning when their May 8 match was halted by rains at the Rizal Memorial ballpark.

Manila only needs to nail this one to formally clinch top spot and set up an encounter against the No. 4 team in the semis.

Batangas also has clinched the third semifinal slot with a 5-5 record with Taguig looming as the last Final Four bet with its 4-5 slate.
