With millions of incentives, Nesthy Petecio secures family's future

MANILA, Philippines—Nesthy Petecio revealed she had already secured her most valued investment following her second Olympic stint in the Paris Games.

The investment? It wasn’t even exactly for her.

“The house and lots I received in Tokyo were all given to my siblings. It’s really all for them,” said Petecio in Filipino during a roundtable media conference on Tuesday in Taguig.

Petecio received millions worth of incentives following her silver medal triumph in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021

Millions more poured in when Petecio bagged the bronze in the Paris Olympics earlier this month.

This time, Petecio aims to invest even more in properties to achieve her dream of a peaceful retirement where she could just “relax and chill” after a decorated career in boxing.

“I’m fond of farms, taking care of animals so I want to do that. That way, when I’m done being an athlete I can just chill and have coffee,” said Petecio.

The 32-year-old Petecio, however, bared that in all her future plans with her investments, one important element should be there: her family.

“That’s really all I want, a simple life in the province. That’s what I want with my family. I don’t want us to be far away from each other.”
