PBA: Alex Cabagnot feels so much younger at Converge camp
MANILA, Philippines—If there’s anything that Alex Cabagnot is feeling in his return to the PBA, it’s his youth coming back to life.
At 41-years-old, Cabagnot is among the older players in the league but the nine-time PBA champion certainly doesn’t his age at the FiberXers’ camp.

“You know what they say, if you want to feel younger, you [should] be with younger guys and I feel a lot younger with them. I think they’re helping me more out than I am helping them out.”

After dropping four points in his second official game with Converge, Cabagnot gave his take on the young core of the FiberXers under coaches Franco Atienza, Charles Tiu and Rajko Toroman.
“I’m giving us a good grade so far. Definitely a passing grade like a B. Today we played well but we had some lapses and it happens. Like what coaches say, it happens but we’re looking good.”

Cabagnot also knows that he and the FiberXers need to take advantage of the newly-vaunted four-point line.
And should Converge execute that new rule to perfection, then Cabagnot’s grade for the FiberXers may improve quite a lot.
“Obviously, we have to make use of that [four points]. That’s also an opportunity, it’s strategic and tactical, especially in catching up [leads].”
“Tactically, defensively and offensively we have to take account and adjust on that [four-point line].”
