MANILA, Philippines–Rain or Shine picked apart Phoenix, 122-107, for a rebound victory in the PBA Governors’ Cup Tuesday night.
The ElastoPainters drew double-digit scores from eight players to bounce back from a stinging first loss to San Miguel and improve to 5-1 in Group B of the showcase.
Import Aaron Fuller and Adrian Nocum equally combined for 32 points, while Gian Mamuyac also keyed a late pullaway in the fourth period at Ninoy Aquino Stadium to deny the Fuel Masters what could have been a breakthrough win after six meetings.

Fuller and Nocum notched double-doubles, with 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively. Mamuyac finished with 14 points.
Rain or Shine sets its sights on Justin Brownlee and Barangay Ginebra, a team they beat in the first round of the import-laden conference. The two squads duke it out on Sept. 13.
Phoenix, meanwhile, hopes to end its drought against San Miguel also this coming Friday.
