MANILA, Philippines–Barangay Ginebra made Blackwater pay dearly on Tuesday night, whipping the streaking Bossing, 112-98, in the PBA Governors’ Cup.
Scottie Thompson, the former league Most Valuable Player, looked like he had finally rediscovered his do-it-all form, finishing with a triple-double of 21 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists before a partisan crowd at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Resident import Justin Brownlee fired 20 points, while RJ Abarrientos chipped in 15 for the crowd darlings who improved to 3-2 in Group B play.

Stephen Holt and Japeth Aguilar added 14 points each in the effort that snapped Blackwater’s three-game streak and avenged their meltdown in their first-round encounter.
Blackwater drew 21 points from import George King, while Sedrick Barefield added 15 more as the Bossing dropped to 3-4.
Barangay Ginebra plays Rain or Shine, which trounced Phoenix, 122-107, earlier next on Friday.
