MANILA, Philippines—Rain or Shine import Aaron Fuller looks to improve from his squad’s sorry loss at the hands of Ginebra in Group B of the PBA Governors’ Cup.

At Araneta Coliseum on Friday, the Elasto Painters failed to go 2-0 over the Gin Kings, 124-102, unable to stop  Ginebra’s torrid shooting from deep.

“They were amazing from the three, they shot over 50 percent,” said Fuller.

“Once they get their confidence going, it’s hard to beat a team like that with that much confidence in shooting that well.”

Fuller did his all with a huge double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds but it wasn’t enough to stop the red-hot Gin Kings.

Ginebra, as a squad, registered a 55.3 percent shooting clip built on 17 made buckets from rainbow country.

For comparison, the Elasto Painters only sank nine baskets from 3.

Instead of lamenting over the lopsided loss, Fuller, instead, chose to look ahead as the race for a playoff spot intensifies.

“I just have to let the game come to me, we have to play more as a team and shoot better from the three,” he said. “These next upcoming games are important to make the playoffs.”

With a 5-2 record, Rain or Shine is currently in a logjam for Group B’s first seed with the Gin Kings and San Miguel Beer.
