Norman Miguel has been appointed head coach of Chery Tiggo Crossovers for the upcoming 2024-25 PVL Season, which kicks off in November with the All-Filipino conference.
Miguel is taking over the post held by Kungfu Reyes, who will now serve as assistant with the Crossovers amid his duties as head coach of UST Tigresses in UAAP.
Miguel, who led the NU Lady Bulldogs to the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball championship, relishes the challenge of leading a pro team.

“Actually, I was focused on another job that was still related to volleyball, and then one day, Coach Aaron (Velez) called me. I thought, why not give it a try? This time it’s more challenging because it’s a pro league, right?” Miguel, who stepped down as NU coach in August, said in a press release.

“For me, it’s about time to test my skills and see how far I can go at this level. It’s also an opportunity to explore my career, to see what it’s like coaching a professional team. I feel honored that Chery called me.”
Reyes is confident that Miguel will be able to give the Crossovers his full time attention with the goal of finally pushing the team to greater heights in the PVL.

“As a champion tactician from National University, the experience he brings to the team is a big deal,” said Reyes, whose Tigresses faced the Lady Bulldogs in the UAAP Finals.
“Luckily, we got Coach Norman, who can give his full time and attention to the team, and that’s a huge advantage for the upcoming All-Filipino Conference. My goal this time is to be his assistant coach. That’s where I came from before, and I’ll help guide the team alongside him. He’s very much welcome with us.”
In the recently concluded Reinforced Conference, where Creamline clinched its ninth title, Chery Tiggo placed fifth.
