NBA: Magic agree to contract extension with Wendell Carter Jr.

ORLANDO, Florida — The Orlando Magic agreed to a contract extension with center Wendell Carter Jr. on Monday.
Carter averaged 11 points on 52.5% shooting in 55 games last season to help the Magic reach the NBA postseason.
Article continues after this advertisementCarter, the No. 7 pick in the 2018 NBA draft, is set to make $12 million this season. Terms of the extension were not disclosed.

The 6-foot-10 Carter played one season at Duke before he was selected by Chicago.
The Magic acquired him from the Bulls on March 25, 2021.
