MANILA, Philippines—Rain or Shine is staring at a 0-2 rut in the semifinals of the PBA Governors’ Cup, and Andrei Caracut can tell what his team is doing wrong.

From outside shooting to turnovers, the Elasto Painters are struggling in both figuring out TNT puzzle and getting something going after two games.

“I think it’s our turnovers. That’s really become our sickness. They also convert those [turnovers] into fast break points so that’s where they create their distance,” said Caracut after their 108-91 loss to Tropang Giga in Game 2.

“If you compare it, their three-pointer count is so far from ours,” he added, with TNT making 12 from beyond the arc and Rain or Shine nine.

Despite the gloomy numbers, Caracut remained optimistic about Rain or Shine’s chances.

“Of course, when you lose [your mood] is really down, but this series isn’t over. We still have two or maybe even more chances to show what we can do,” he said.

“We’re actually on the losing. We’re the ones adjusting to whatever they’re doing. We need to watch these games so we can improve on what we need to do for Game 3.”
