Energen Pilipinas bounces back, crushes Indonesia
MANILA, Philippines—Energen Pilipinas got back on the winning track as it pummeled Indonesia, 88-62, Monday in the Fiba Asia U-18 in Ulan Bator, Mongolia.
The Philippines, which yielded to Iran, 72-93, in its previous stint, started slow before picking up the slack as the game went on.
UAAP juniors MVP Jerie Pingoy of FEU topscored with 16 points while Mario Bonleon added 15 more for the Philippines, which faces Chinese Taipei next.
Energen Pilipinas only led by five, 23-18, after the first quarter before the team heated up in the ensuing quarter.
