MANILA, Philippines—TNT forward Calvin Oftana expressed his frustration after the Tropang Giga’s loss to Barangay Ginebra in Game 4 of the PBA Governors’ Cup Finals.

Oftana lamented not getting enough opportunities to make plays for TNT in the second half after a spectacular start that saw him explode for 20 points in the first two quarters.

“I don’t know, I had good production in the first half and I only got a few touches in the second half. I feel frustrated with myself, I questioned the coaches but it is what it is,” said Oftana following the 106-92 loss that tied the series at 2-2.

“The game doesn’t just revolve around me, I have teammates too so we’ll let the game be decided.”

Oftana had a silent second half, scoring only six points as the Tropang Giga failed to move on the cusp of a second straight Governors’ Cup crown.

But it wasn’t on the offensive side of things that cost TNT the game as far as Oftana is concerned.

“To be honest, we messed up on defense and our coverages and we suffered from those. That’s why we lost.”

“Individually, I told myself that I take pride in defense. For me, myself, I have to watch the game first.”

The Tropang Giga try to regain the series lead on Wednesday in Game 5 at the same venue.
