Army gals grab share of lead in V-League

Philippine Army rose from a set down to forge an 18-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-17 triumph over Far Eastern University and grab a share of the lead in the Shakey’s V-League Open Tuesday night at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

League star Rachel Ann Daquis had three service aces in a 14-point production to lead five Lady Troopers in double figures.

The defending champion Army joined Sandugo-San Sebastian on top at 2-0, while dealing the Lady Tamaraws their second straight loss.

Ateneo—which downed Philippine Navy in straight sets, 25-11, 25-21, 25-19, Tuesday—improved to 1-1 with Cagayan-Perpetual.
