La Salle, Ateneo pace ICTSI interschool golf

ATENEO pulled ahead by 11 in the Midgets 1 event at Capitol Hills while De La Salle University took an eight-point lead in seniors play at Intramuros at the resumption of the ICTSI-JGFP Interschool golf tournament recently.

Cousins Aidric Chan and Carl Jano Baldonado-Corpus combined for 104 points as Ateneo chalked up 152 to fend off Xavier (141) and pace the division for kids in Grades 5 to 7.

Chan scored a 53 and Corpus a 51 to lead the assault for Ateneo which had Marc Elson Corrales as its third scorer with a 48.

Matthew Dy-Buncio (48), Kendrick Diaz (47) and Enrique Diaz (46) scored for Xavier at the Capitol Hills executive layout.

FEATURED STORIES

Ateneo 2 was third at 110, De La Salle Zobel fourth at 107 and La Salle Green Hills fifth at 104 in the series backed by the ICTSI. Pancake House and Philippine Airlines are the other sponsors.

Over at Intramuros, Marvin Mendoza (48), Eric Gallardo (47) and Allan Bumagat (44) pooled 139 to push DLSU to an eight-point lead over Ateneo.

Rocco Sumabat and Moshe Baldo each had 44 while Mikey Punsalan added 43 for Ateneo.
