All-star baseball game on Fil-Am Day
MANILA—An All-Star Game, featuring the country’s top baseball players and young stars, will highlight the Pepsi Filipino-American Friendship Day this Sunday at the Alabang Country Club in Muntinlupa City.
Baseball Philippines and the Community Sports Inc. are putting up the event as part of the country’s celebration of Fil-Am Day.
United States Ambassador Harry K. Thomas Jr. will be the guest of honor in the event sponsored by Gatorade, Rawlings, Pepsi, Victory Liner and Clark Development Corp.
Meanwhile, Baseball Philippines will also present all the national teams vying in regional tournaments and the World Series.
An elimination-round game in the BP Series 8 will be played before the All-Star Game with the Dumaguete Unibikers taking on the Taguig Patriots for final placings in the semifinal round.
The slightly favored Patriots need a win to clinch the No. 4 slot.
