FILIPINO-Chinese Veterans Basketball Association (FCVBA) opened its back-to-back bid in the 60-years-and-above division with a bang, winning its double-header at the start of the 21st Asean Veterans basketball tournament Thursday in Brunei.

With former PBA hotshot Lim Eng Beng, Bong dela Cruz, Zotico Tan and Welcoat House Paints’ Terry Que at the helm, FCVBA walloped Asaba of Indonesia, 75-42, for its second straight win in the annual tournament.

Que, who co-owns PBA Governors’ Cup champion Rain or Shine, fired 18 points while Lim added 12 points and 12 boards.

The win was a big follow up to its 62-50 drubbing of Kuala Lumpur early in the day.

FCVBA’s campaign is being bankrolled by Que, Jimmi Lim of Ironcon Builders and Edward Tio of Freego.
