WBC crowns at stake in Elorde card

FOUR World Boxing Council international titles will be disputed on Sept. 8 in the Bakbakan sa Elorde at D Flash Ballroom at Elorde Sports Complex in Parañaque.

Renan Trongco will tangle with Ryu Onigashima for the vacant WBC Youth light flyweight title in one of the headliners of the  event being presented by Elorde International Productions.

Dennis Tubieron will be battling another Japanese, Hiroki Shiino, for the international bantamweight championship while Jaderes Padua will be facing Indonesian James Mokoginta for the intercontinental super bantamweight title. These bouts are set for 12 rounds.

Gabriel Altarejos and Weljan Ugbaniel will dispute the youth intercontinental super flyweight title over 10 rounds.

Promoter Bebot Elorde said the Filipino boxers should be able to hurdle their foreign rivals who also boast impressive fight credentials.
