MANILA, Philippines–Barangay Ginebra bucked the absence of Japeth Aguilar and Stephen Holt to defeat Terrafirma, 114-98, Wednesday in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Justin Brownlee dropped 49 points on top of 12 rebounds, six assists and two steals as the Gin Kings bounced back from their loss to Hong Kong Eastern to go 3-1 in the midseason conference.
GInebra prevailed despite missing the services of Holt and Aguilar to injuries sustained last Sunday against the guest team.

The injury denied Holt of his first meeting against the team that he played in his Rookie of the Year season in 2023-24.
Coach Tim Cone said Holt is dealing with a knee injury and Aguilar has a pulled groin and are both day-to-day.
RJ Abarrientos added 18 points and six assists even as Troy Rosario put up 17 points and five rebounds for Ginebra.

Terrafirma stayed winless after six games, but made things interesting in the fourth when a 22-point deficit was narrowed down to six.
Import Brandon Edwards produced 27 points and 12 rebounds while Vic Manuel added 19 for the struggling Dyip.
Stanley Pringle finished with 11 points, nine assists and three steals in his first game against his former team.
