MANILA, Philippines—Carl Tamayo is having a great weekend with the Changwon LG Sakers in the Korean Basketball League.

On Saturday, Tamayo and the LG Sakers outlasted the Suwon KT Sonicboom, 74-72, at Changwon Stadium.

Tamayo played like a man on a mission, stuffing the stat sheet with 20 points, six rebounds and five assists to help Changwon improve to a 12-10 record.

Assem Marei helped the cause with a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds to push the LG Sakers to its seventh straight win.

It was a solid follow up for Tamayo and company after they routed SJ Belangel and the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus two days before.

Changwon trashed Daegu, 85-54, On Thursday in a battle that saw glimpses of the classic UP-Ateneo rivalry.

Tamayo, in that win, registered 17 points, five rebounds and three assists against Belangel and Pegasus.

It may have been an ugly loss for the Pegasus but Belangel still chipped in with seven points, six assists and three steals in an ugly loss.

Belangel and his squad, though, bounced back on Saturday beating Goyang Sono Skygunners, 76-73, at Daegu Gymnasium

Belangel registered 12 points and five assists to push Daegu to a 13-9 card.
