PBA: Ginebra whips San Miguel ahead of clash vs No. 1 NorthPort
MANILA, Philippines–Troy Rosario put together his best scoring performance since joining Barangay Ginebra to spark a 93-81 rout of San Miguel Beer to cap off the resumption of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Rosario finished with 22 points on top of 10 rebounds as the Gin Kings produced another win against fellow San Miguel Corporation squad to go 5-2 going into a marquee showdown with the pacesetter NorthPort Batang Pier.
Article continues after this advertisementJustin Brownlee played despite dealing with illness and finished with 19 points, six rebounds, seven assists and three blocks for Ginebra, which led by a high of 20.

Ginebra battles NorthPort on Wednesday at Ninoy Aquino Stadium in a game that would gauge either team’s title chances going forward.
San Miguel Beer, meanwhile, seems to be far off the championship picture after two straight defeats left them at 3-4.
Article continues after this advertisementImport Jabari Narcis had 17 points and 10 rebounds while CJ Perez scored 14 but was 4-of-13 from the field for the Beermen.

June Mar Fajardo added 12 points and 23 rebounds for the Beermen in the stinging defeat.
The game also marked the first time former Terrafirma stars Stephen Holt of Ginebra and Juami Tiongson of San Miguel faced off as opponents.
Holt scored 15 for the Gin Kings while Tiongson dropped 12 including one four-pointer when San Miguel tried but a mini-run in the fourth.
