SAN BEDA looks to tighten its grip on top spot when it clashes with bitter rival Letran tonight in the 88th NCAA basketball tournament at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Gametime is 6 p.m. with the Red Lions seeking win No. 10 against a Knights crew slowly but surely regaining their lethal form.

Emilio Aguinaldo College guns for a fourth straight victory when it battles Mapua at 4 p.m.

One of the players instrumental to the Generals’ run has been Cameroonian center Noube Happi, who is averaging close to 20 points and 14 rebounds.

“Happi has been a big help to us,” said EAC coach Gerry Esplana.

The Lions flashed dominant form when they bested the Knights, 65-43, in their meeting.

Letran is hoping to flip the script this time and the Knights have reason to be confident with center Raymond Almazan back in the fold.

The 6-foot-7 Almazan, the NCAA Press Corps Player of the Week, has been a force inside the paint for the Knights.
