MANILA, Philippines — Kat Tolentino is expected to miss some time in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filpino Conference as Choco Mucho announced that she underwent surgery for a ruptured appendix on Tuesday.

Choco Mucho said that Tolentino was hospitalized on Monday for severe abdominal pains and went through surgery the following day after being diagnosed with a ruptured appendix

“Let’s all pray for her quick and full recovery. Get well soon, Kat! The entire Titan fam is here for you and will always have your back,” the team wrote.

Tolentino will miss Choco Mucho’s Thursday game against PLDT and possibly their next matches as she recovers.

Tolentino, who also missed some time last year due to an auditory condition, had three points in Choco Mucho’s five-set win over ZUS Coffee on Saturday to improve to a 4-3 record.

The star opposite spiker is the league’s 10th best scorer with 79 points as of posting.
